Make A Wish Foundation gifted our family of eight an absolutely amazing trip to Orlando, Florida. It has been for years, we had the pictures of Disney’s World on our refrigerator. Whenever, our kids wanted something, we would remind them, we were working towards Disney’s. Automatically, everyone would be refocus again.

After dealing with six years of chemo and bone marrow transplant, Jane and I were spent. We were excited that Jessica was cured of Leukemia. Finally, we could breathe a sigh of relief.

Dreams do come true, but in this case, not in the way we like to achieve it. As I am writing this, I am looking at our family picture in front of the Epicot ball. That was the most wonderful time of our lives. Our kids are saved and healthy. Our dream to visit Disney’s for a week was completely covered with the most VIP passes. We would love to do it again, but our opportunity with Jessica is now over. But the memories, we created with the gift from Make A Wish Foundation will forever be treasured in our hearts and minds.
Putting up pictures to remind us of our dreams do work. What’s more important would be reminding the whole family what we are working towards. It becomes a rallying point. Everyone is working or making sacrifices towards something. The family becomes tighter and stronger.
I am so glad that we had the opportunity to do that. Thank you for the generous donors to the Make A Wish Foundation that made our Disney’s dream come true. A trip we will forever treasure.
