Ensnared - Exodus 6
Speaking is the most effective tool a man has in his arsenal. This is one of the most talked about truths, commands, promises, and powers in the Bible, and I’ve only just started to really see it.

Song playing as the fireworks finished: “I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I am free. And I won’t forget the men who died who gave their lives to me.”

One of my mentors, Rex Renfrow used to say, “Life is like an onion. You peel it off one layer at a time. Sometimes you cry.” I was young and full of hopes and dreams. The most difficult things we had to deal with was financial troubles in that season. We never dreamed one day life can make us cry like we have never cried before.

“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10

When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me stories about successful investors losing money prior to achieving great fortune. Though I am not looking for great fortune, I am working toward being a successful investor.

Numerous factors contribute to financial success: consistent saving, prudent risk management, strategic asset allocation, and avoiding common pitfalls like excessive debt or emotional decision-making. Yet, the single most powerful ingredient remains the time value of money—more precisely, the exponential force of compounding.

God designed our brains like sophisticated computers: garbage in, garbage out. What we repeatedly feed our minds becomes the operating system for our lives.

True leadership, whether at home, in business, or in life, begins with a servant heart. The greatest leaders and the greatest parents are those who give themselves away in love.
This past Friday, our life group had an unforgettable Easter celebration. We enjoyed a wonderful potluck dinner in my office, filled with great food, laughter, and meaningful conversation. After cleaning up, all of us headed to the elevator together, still chatting and enjoying each other’s company. Since no one wanted the night to end, we squeezed all 15 of us into one elevator.

In all that happened, the people would not turn to God. Instead they kept turning to Pharaoh, the one who was putting work on them while simultaneously telling them that they were lazy!

I love stories of when people meet God for the first time. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Abraham, Jesus’ Disciples… But Moses is a special case.

Do you have a dream? God gave it to you. Don’t give it up. Give it to Him. He will make sure it is kept safe until the time is right.
God’s Smuggler It was Jessca’s favorite book to read and recommend. She even wrote a blurb about it (Post #10): “If you enjoy adventure and thrills, I highly recommend God's Smuggler (it's so good, I've lost track of how many times I've read it . It also has a bit of drama and romance if you're into that).”Even though I’ve read it many times, this book never fails to make me laugh. Here’s one story I read on the bus today. Brother Andrew, a Dutchman, just started his first semester at a missionary school in England:“And so began one of the hardest two-month periods of my life...What made the two months difficult was learning English. I worked so hard on the language that my head continually ached…I was up with the first bird song, dressed, and out in the garden with two books in my hand. One was an English Bible; the other was a dictionary. It was doubtless an excellent technique, but it did have some disadvantages. My English during that period was filled with thees, thous, and verily. One time I passed on a request for butter by saying, “Thus sayeth the neighbor of Andrew, that thou wouldst be pleased to pass the butter.”
