Faith in Jesus: The Guiding Light of Our Family

Faith in Jesus was the guiding value or behaviour in our family that has led through the good times and the bad in all these years.

I wanted to start a podcast after Jessica passed.Pastor Dave wisely encouraged us to dig deeper: what exactly we want to build, who is our target audience and what kind of transformation we want to see in our listeners.

These great advice pushed us to start distilling my thoughts into a summary of principles that have guided Jane and I through all these years of raising our family.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to be our guide must be on the top of the list. We believe without our faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, made us better spouses and parents. Our kids too are better for trusting in Jesus.

We constantly point to the ultimate authority of God and stay in the alignment. We want our kids to have a perfect example instead of following any imperfect human. Most of all, we want them to always has an advocate in Jesus not matter against whom, even coming up against to our own parental authority.

We all submit to the same God and teaching. That made our family a fair, just and loving playground to grow up in.

As long as we stay within the teaching of the bible, our authority is not of our own, but from God.
