I have the choice to accept what the physical or mental realm is telling me, or I can agree with the Bible which literally tells me that I am as perfect as Jesus is right now.
This one’s about another saying that I’ve been using semi regularly.
If you’ve been on the other side of what I call my “OOooOWWwh.” (In Jeremy speech that’s “Overflowing with words to someone”) then you’ve probably heard me say…
“God’s Word is more true than my experiences”
A couple days ago my understanding of this phrase got blown out of the water!
The basis of this saying is from 2 Corinthians 5v7 where Paul says
“We walk by faith and not by sight.”
[And he doesn't mean when you're driving]
When I am sick or stressed or feeling shamed, I have the choice to accept what the physical or mental realm is telling me, or I can agree with the Bible which literally tells me that I am as perfect as Jesus is right now.
Ima get Jesus to back me up here:
“… as He is so also are we in this world.”
(1 John 4:17)
"But we have the mind of Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 2v16)
“Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours."
(Luke 15v31)
What the Bible says is true is literally more true than anything I am going through or have ever gone through!
It's like that little kid I saw at the mall that was crying because he wanted to get a shopping cart, but his dad was taking him away from the store.
But guess where he was taking him? To the shopping carts!
[Try playing this video while reading the next part with a southern Pentecostal preacher's voice]
I don't know the things you been praying' fow!
I don't know the dreeeeeeaaans God put on yo heart!

I don't know what kinda battles the devil's been kicking' you wit!
But I know, HALLELUJAH! that GGGGGGOOOOODD is in this place! And He gonn' give you the best shopping cart you done eve' seeeeEEEEeen!
LAAAWD!!
That thing ain't gonna have no squeaky wheels.
It ain't gonn' veer to the left ha HA!
Norrr to the rite!
That sucka' gonna stay on the straight and narrow, praise God!
He gonn' give you one a them Costco carts HoooooOOOO GLOARY HALLELUJAH!
[That was funny in my head]
If the Bible is truer than man, then God’s grace is more powerful than man’s sin.
When war starts, when injustice thrives, when sickness spreads, when lies are believed, there is absolutely no way that God’s grace will not be there because...
[You can stop the music now]
“… where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,”
(Romans 5v20)
Revival doesn’t come because the people are more receptive or there is more worship or miracles. Those are evidences of revival.
Revival comes because there is a lot of sin. Jesus is not going to wash a clean person (remember Peter in the upper room). The Doctor came for the sick. So it makes sense that Jesus will be most active in the place where there is the most sin.
And believe me when Jesus goes to work, revival comes!
Trust that God’s grace is going to have more of an effect in the world and in your personal life than humanity’s twisted behavior!
God wants you saved from hell. And more than that...
“… the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [the Church]."
(Matthew 16v18)
We are the ones on the offensive; the defenses of hell can’t hold back the grace of God. Because where there is the most sin; where there is the least faith; that is where grace will be soooo good!
And if God puts in a spiritual law like:
If sin starts to increase, ima pour out so much grace y’all! It’ll be like emptying the ocean with a fork!
it doesn’t matter if all the world says something else. Everyone and everything is gonna have to side with God.
