It works in family. It works in business. To create momentum, model the values and practice the principles that are core to you and your business.

One of my sons is getting married this week. It was just the other day that we brought him home from the hospital. It was just the other day that he cracked his first joke at the age of two. It was just the other day we sent him off to his first camping trip with the Scouts at the age of 11. We watched him get his first job, buy his first car, date his first girlfriend, and graduate from college. Today, he is getting married and thanking us for raising him well.
Unlike others, we did not have a grand plan for our kids. We started with our values, some proven principles, and a strong community. We stayed faithful in our marriage and committed to our kids. We were just living life, overcoming obstacles one after another. Granted, we were very intentional with parenting, and you must be. But each day becomes another page of our kids’ lives. Soon, these pages added up. Consistent behaviors led to habits which led to culture and the momentum starts to carry us. Our kids’ characters were formed. In the beginning, we had to make a lot of effort to study and live intentionally. After awhile, we were just repeating the right things every day of what we have done the day before and the day before that. Soon, we had a happy family. Others now notice our family in a good way. That is the power of the flywheel principle.
It works in family. It works in business. To create momentum, model the values and practice the principles that are core to you and your business.
